Every week a handful of games release on Xbox One and many elude owners of the console due to their timid marketing. A lot of these games are absolutely phenomenal and it’s a shame that they aren’t noticed. Here are some games coming out between March 13 and March 17 which you should check out. Some of the titles are quite obvious while others may surprise you.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Now you might be thinking, “Wait, Mass Effect: Andromeda comes out in two weeks!”. Well, if you’re an Xbox One owner, you can access the game a week in advance through EA Access. If you haven’t tried the service before, you can sign up for a free trial and get all the benefits subscribers enjoy. The Mass Effect: Andromeda trial isn’t just an hour or two, it’s a good ten hours! You have unlimited access to the multiplayer mode in which you can earn rewards towards the single-player campaign. Unfortunately, access to the single-player campaign is limited.

Styx: Shards of Darkness

Styx: Master of Shadows came out on Xbox One a few years ago and was somewhat of a surprising title. The stealth mechanics were polished and despite its problematic story, it captivated players with its mysterious, arcane setting. Styx: Shards of Darkness is bigger and better. This time around you enter the city of Korrangar to steal a scepter of immense power, with new enemies and a slew of new tools at your disposal to help pull off Styx’s most gripping heist.

Kona

Kona came out on Steam a while back and was somewhat of a sleeper hit. It garnered incredible positive reviews from gamers and due to this the developers decided to bring it to consoles. Kona is coming out next Friday and gamers who played titles like Virginia will love it. It’s somewhat of a hybrid between that and The Long Dark. Take on the role of a detective who’s tasked with exploring Atamipek Lake to unravel a growing, chilly mystery. A sudden blizzard has swept through a small town bringing with it a series of surreal events.

Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight

Just like Kona, Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight launched on Steam a few days ago. Since then it’s garnered phenomenal reviews due to its solid platforming. For those unfamiliar with the game, Reverie Under the Moonlight is the fourth entry in the beloved Momodora series. You traverse a cursed land to seek an audience with the queen and dispel the evil that threatens all life. If you’re a fan of platformers like Axiom Verge, you should give this one a go.

Dark Arcana: The Carnival

Artifex Mundi are known for developing games which may seem too casual for some gamers due to their hidden objects mechanics. However, once you play an Artifex Mundi title, you realize that they’re quite deep when it comes to their story and presentation. In Dark Arcana: The Carnival, you take on the role of a female detective searching for a woman who mysteriously vanished in the middle of a fair. While looking for clues, you uncover a tragic love story and the consequences of an evil pact. All of this will lead you to an alternate world existing behind a magic mirror–and that’s where the key to the mystery and a thrilling confrontation with an ancient evil awaits you. Intrigued yet?

Apart from the games mentioned above, Xbox One is getting Blue-Collar Astronaut, Death Squared and NeuroVoider this week. There might be other surprise releases in there too. Blue-Collar Astronaut is an arcade flying game which should appeal to gamers who enjoy titles like Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. Death Squared is a notoriously difficult puzzle game involving moving cubes. Lastly, NeuroVoider is an old-school cyberpunk shooter. March has already been a great month for gamers and it looks like this week will continue that streak. Be sure to check out the titles mentioned above because they represent unique experiences which Xbox One owners should love.
