There have been numerous rumours of the Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia’s low-end Windows Phone 7.5 handset, coming to T-Mobile USA, the strongest likely being the handset, which as far as we know is not penta-band, passing through the FCC with AWS HSDPA.

After making their own enquiries from nebulous sources, TMoNews was able to confirm that the Nokia Lumia 710, code-named the Sword, would be coming to T-Mobile in January in both black and white colours.

There are further rumours of the same handset coming to Verizon with CDMA and LTE, which does make one wonder if Nokia would be attacking the US market in the value segment rather than trying to compete with more premium handsets like the iPhone.

The Nokia Lumia 710 (Sabre) is an upcoming Windows Phone with a 3.7” ClearBlack TFT screen, HSPA+ data speeds, and a 1.4 GHz single-core processor. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera, no front-facing camera, and 8 GB of storage. It will be released in many countries before 2011, however won’t be available in the United States until Q1 2012.
