VPN support for Windows Phone arrived with Windows Phone 8.1, but unfortunately it appeared it was only geared towards enterprise, leaving those who wanted to use to to escape restrictive environments unsatisfied.

Today we can finally report that there is now a VPN service accessible to normal consumers which fully supports VPN on Windows Phone.

VPNTraffic already supports a very wide range of services, and supports in particular the IKEv2 protocol native Windows Phone which makes it tolerant of connections which drop occasionally.

They also provide a certificate and other elements necessary to connect to their service, and provides full step by step instructions.

Lastly, the service is pretty cheap, at $5 for a month or less than $3 per month when bought for 12 months.
