The Best Smartphone Camera Just Got Better

This is not related to Windows Phone now, but definitely in the near future. As Nokia claims Nokia N8 has the best smartphone camera in the market. The camera experience just got more better. Nokia today detailed its update of its camera system in Nokia N8. Through the recent beta update, Nokia have addressed the following requests from users,

•Ability to record video at closer distances
•Smoother video of moving subjects or when panning
•Faster access to scene modes, especially close-up mode
•Exposure control in video
•Viewfinder grid not effected by scene modes, camera exit/reopening
•Smoother zoom
•Settings accessed through one control point
•Red-eye reduction performance improvements

Stephen Elop, CEO of Nokia said at several occasions that Imaging capabilities of Nokia will be a differentiating factor among other Windows Phone OEM’s along with mapping solutions. I hope by next year, the best camera smartphone will be a Windows Phone. What do you think?
