Telegram today updated its Windows desktop and Windows Phone apps with new features built around sharing.

In version 1.25 of the app, the app now allows you to edit your messages after they’ve been sent similar to Slack, Skype and a select few other messaging apps.

There’s support for new mention features which allow you to draw attention to specific members in a group chat and a people list function that lets you access your recent chats that much quicker.

Of course, all these new features don’t mean much if your friends use WhatsApp (which has an all new design on Windows) or Messenger or even just plain old SMS, but for Telegram users, the app keeps on getting better.

Here’s the changelog from the store listing below:

  •  Edit your messages everywhere within 2 days after posting.
  • Mention people in groups by typing @ and selecting them from the list — even if they don’t have a username.
  •  Get to your friends faster with the new People list in Search.
  • Find inline bot shortcuts in the attachment menu
