Telegram gets self-destructing account and Live Tile update

WhatsApp competitor Telegram has updated their Windows Phone Messenger app to version 1.1.3.46.

The app focuses on security and features Secret Chats with end-to-end encryption, can self destruct messages on both handsets and messages are not logged on their Telegram’s servers.

The latest update brings some great improvements, including:

  • Determine who can see your Last Seen time – with maximum flexibility
  • Set a period of inactivity after which your account will self-destruct (from 1 month to 1 year)
  • New video loader
  • Added video compression
  • Windows Phone 8 Live Tile support
  • Lots of other improvements and fixes for all your favourite bugs
