TechFaithWireless finally finds Windows Mobile success

TechFaith Wireless, well known to industry watchers for its low-profile Ubiquio brand, seems finally to have found some traction in the smartphone world. In the quarter just past, they have seen sales from the segment totaled US$30 million, accounting for almost 60% of the company’s overall revenues, from less than 25% for the same period last year.

Thanks to increasing orders from China and Southeast Asia markets, TechFaith posted revenues of US$50.8 million in the third quarter of 2008, up 32.2% on year.

The company, who primary makes Windows Mobile smartphones have also secured deals in  Europe and Latin America.
