It appears T-Mobile is not planning to push out the GDR3 update for the Nokia Lumia 810.

Nokia’s update tracker merely marks the Black update as Not Available, and Pizzaboy on Reddit confirmed with T-Mobile that they will not be pushing out the software.

T-Mobile support called this a normal part of the handset’s life cycle, but with the handset less than 15 months old this level of support is still much less than we expect.

It also raises questions about whether the handset will be getting the Windows Phone 8.1 update, an update Microsoft promises to all Windows Phones, as long as the carrier supported it.  T-Mobile, which is the carrier with the most Windows phone customers in USA, is clearly not looking to support the handset a year after it discontinued it.

Fortunately Nokia’s phone business will soon belong to Microsoft, opening up hope for full updates coming to handsets, much like the GDR3 Developer preview.
