Symbian Gravity developer refuses to develop for Windows Phone, kicked out of Nokia Dev program

It appears Nokia is turning the screws on their Symbian developers in an attempt to get them to move to Windows Phone 7.

The developer of the best known Symbian app, twitter client Gravity, Jan Ole Suhr, has apparently been booted out of the Nokia Developer Program as he refused to develop for Windows Phone.

He noted that he made all his money from Symbian and did not expect to see a return on his investment yet on Windows Phone, a reasonable point of view but  not one which aligns with Nokia’s interests, which is to boost the Windows Phone marketplace and make moving to Windows Phone more welcome for Symbian users.

Of course Windows Phone already has numerous good twitter clients, and I suspect in the long run it will be Jan who will be missing out.
