Microsoft has long touted their success in enterprise in UK, claiming to have as much as 20% of the business smartphone market in UK.
Now a new independent survey published by Microsoft suggests this stronghold may help Windows Phones spread out into the wider consumer market also.
The survey of 47 “decision makers” who used Windows Phones for their work found that 84% also used them occasionally for personal use, such as listening to music, and that then they would often choose them over their own personal device.
The devices so impressed them that 78% would be “very likely or quite likely” to recommend a Lumia to a friend or colleague for personal use.
Hopefully we will see the PC story repeated all over, where success in the business environment eventually caused Apple computers and others to be displaced in favour of Microsoft operating systems.
