Surface 3 can charge itself, but it’s probably a bug

Surface 3

Microsoft recently introduced its new Surface tablet, the Surface 3. The Surface 3 comes with some good new changes, including USB charging. And as the previous Surface devices, the Surface 3 comes with a USB port. So what happens when you plug a Surface 3 into itself by connecting the USB cable to the device’s USB port and charging port? Neowin’s Brad Sams demos it on the video:

When you connect a USB cable to the device’s USB port and charging port, Windows switches the icon in the taskbar switches to the charging icon and shows that the device is charging. However, clicking on the charging icon will say “Plugged in but not charging”. It’s worth mentioning that doing this might drain the battery quickly.
