Stephen Elop Says Windows Phone Can Become The Biggest Mobile OS

In an interview to Bloomberg Television’s Caroline Hyde on “The Pulse” at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop discussed about Nokia’s new Windows Phone 8 devices Lumia 720 and Lumia 520. Stephen Elop told about the great opportunity of targeting first time smartphone buyers in emerging markets by releasing devices like Nokia Lumia 720 which will go on sale for 140 Euro.

When asked about new Blackberry Z10 device, he said Nokia is focusing on selling more Lumia devices to business customers as they provide more value to customers than rival devices. When asked whether Windows Phone could be the second biggest OS in the world, Stephen Elop replied that Windows Phone can become the biggest mobile OS and Nokia is working on it with Microsoft to make that happen.
