Spotify Now may come to Windows Phone in “the near future”

Spotify, the music streaming service today revealed a new feature, dubbed as Spotify Now at its press conference. Spotify Now will create playlists tailored for you based on the time of the day it is. The company states:

“From the time you wake up until tonight’s party, the Now start page serves you the right music day and night. Need a Monday morning playlist pick-me-up? Done. The right tunes to help you focus after lunch? We’ve got you covered. And because Now learns what you like, you’ll be sure to hear the right music – selected from our in-house experts and your personal collection – whatever the occasion. Recommendations will adapt over time to fit your taste and mood.”

The feature is available for the iPhone right now in US, UK, Germany and Sweden, however, it may come to Windows Phone and more markets in the “near future”. To confirm the statement, I asked Spotify on Twitter and they’ve also stated that “other platforms may follow in the future:”

Unfortunately though, there isn’t much information on Spotify Now for Windows Phone just yet. It isn’t yet clear when the company will launch the feature, and if it’s soon enough or a long time away.
