Spotify may have ditched support for Windows phone, but enterprising Windows developers can still pitch in to lend a hand to Windows phone users who would prefer a universal Windows app.

Spoticast for Spotify — a third-party Spotify app — has received an update in the Windows Store available for Windows phones and PCs.

With this new update, users can now use Spotify Connect to stream media to Spotify connect enabled devices. This functionality is obviously limited to Spotify Premium users however and requires users to sign into the app again.

Spoticast for Spotify is available for Windows 10 Mobile, Windows 10 PCs and the Xbox One for a slightly expensive $9.99.

You can download Spoticast for Spotify from the store link here.
