Sports Tracker App Developer To Continue Support Windows Phone, Ceases Symbian App Development

Sports Tracker, a famous sports and fitness tracking application/service came to Windows Phone first as a Nokia Lumia exclusive. Now, the developer behind this app is re-organizing their development efforts and the good/bad news is about their focus on Windows Phone platform which you can read by yourself below.

Going forward we will focus our development efforts mainly to both the Android and IOS -platforms. This means that all new features and enhancements will first see the light of day on these platforms. In most cases we will first launch a new features on one of the platforms and when it has been perfected with the help of your valuable feedback it will then be implemented on the other main platform and also in most cases on Windows Phone – mainly on the upcoming Windows Phone 8.

The news will be reminiscent of a similar if more severe announcement by Runkeeper, who ended all support for Windows Phone. Its good to see that their developers are at least transparent about their future plans. Hopefully brisk sales of Windows Phone 8 devices might change their plans!
