WPArea.de reports that some new features for WhatsApp for Windows Phone is on the way.
The information was gleaned from a crowd-sourced translation file for the app, and reveals some minor useful features such as the ability to lock screen rotation and change font size in chat bubbles are on the way.
The translation resource file also makes reference to Social Networks, which will bring a new feature where users will be able to invite friends from their social networks such as Facebook and Twitter to join the WhatsApp network.
There is also new references to Windows Phone 7, indicating that the OS will remain supported, and some changes to the lock screen settings.
WhatsApp, which recently announced at Nokia World that they had 350 million monthly active users and re-iterated how important being cross-platform was to them, is of course well known for regularly updating their Windows Phone app, and WPArea notes even more changes may be on the way.
The current app can be found in the Windows Phone Store here.
