AndroidAustralia managed to grab some shots of the HTC One with its ultra-pixels vs the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nokia 808 Pureview, the two I think undisputed smartphone camera champs of 2011/2012.
The advantage of the OIS implementation on the Nokia Lumia 920 is pretty clear in the pictures, and I don’t think our readers would have any difficulty guessing the above picture, with its obvious banding and grain, is from the HTC One, while the one below, while somewhat unnaturally clear and bright, is from the Nokia Lumia 920.
Somewhat surprisingly the Nokia 808 Pureview does not do very well in the test, delivering a very natural result which likely reflects the available light well, but not delivering a lot of detail.
