Some customers are receiving the Surface Pro 7 earlier than the advertised shipping date

Earlier this month Microsoft announced the new Surface Pro 7 at their annual Surface hardware event. The company later confirmed that the devices will go on pre-order immediately after the event but start shipping on 22nd October 2019.

However, it looks like some of the devices are shipping a tad early as a Redditor confirmed to have received the Surface Pro 7 twelve days before the advertised shipping date. u/Tweey posted the image of the device along with the new Type Cover and Surface Pen on Reddit. The user confirmed to have placed an order with Norwegian retailer Elkjøp who shipped the order earlier than the expected shipping date. From the pictures, the packaging looks the same as the previous Surface Pro and the Black Type cover now comes with Alcantara which wasn’t the case before.

The Surface Pro 7 is powered by the new 10th gen Intel i3/i5/i7 processors which are coupled with 4/8/16 GB of RAM and 128/256/512 GB and 1 TB of Storage. The device is currently available for pre-order on both Microsoft Store and Amazon and will start shipping on 22nd October for everyone.
