The Swype gesture keyboard certainly has a following, and users who upgraded from Windows Mobile and even the occasional Android convert may be missing it.

Invoke IT is betting on that with their new Sliding Keyboard, which is a self-contained app with the look and feel of the Windows Phone 7 keyboard, but which responds to tracing out the word just like the Swype keyboard.

Of course the keyboard can not replace the default Windows Phone 7 one, but using the text which has been inputted users can launch a Bing search, send a text message or even start an email.

The keyboard ins $1.29 with a free trail, and could do with some work with auto-correction and much more, but for the Swype addicts it may just be what the doctor ordered.

Sliding Keyboard can be found in Marketplace here.
