Slack beta for Windows Phone gets first update, but file upload feature not added yet

slack

Its only yesterday that Slack arrived as an open beta on Windows Phone, but the team has already published their first update for the Windows Phone messaging and collaboration app.

The update, to version 2015.819.0.0. brings a fix for a number of issues, including:image

  • Fixed an issue where the login screen did not use proper keyboard
  • Fixed an issue where the create team button was not enabled for valid emails
  • Fixed an issue where clicking certain profiles had a reasonable chance of an error

The update has not addressed my biggest issue with the app so far – the inability to attach files and screen shots, but given the pace of improvement it will likely not be too long.

The app is available for free in the Windows Phone Store, and you can grab it from here.
