The Skype Preview app for Windows and Windows 10 is now available to Insiders who are running the Xbox One Alpha Ring on their console.

This means users now have two ways to make Skype calls on their Xbox, but presumably the UWP app, which is still somewhat difficult to navigate, but does contain Xbox One-only elements, will eventually replace the native app for the service.

Currently the best feature – CompactOverlay support, is not yet available, but this is hopefully also on the Coming Soon list.

The app can be found by searching the Store on your console.

The Skype Preview app, which recently added CompactOverlay support for Windows 10 Insiders, is available in the Windows Store here.
