Microsoft just released a new update to Skype for Linux users, bringing the version up to 1.12. The app is still in alpha development however, so bugs and other issues may still be present. The update is a rather minor one, but brings with it:
- Hostless Group Calling, which allows you to carry on a group call without any interruption if the person who initiated the call leaves the group
- improved authentication process with switch to Microsoft Account options.
- general bug fixes and performance improvement
If you want to continue seeing Skype for Linux improved, Microsoft encourages Linux users to leave feedback in a way analogous to its feedback system in its Windows Insider program.
