Skype for Windows Phone 8 updated to version 2.5

Skype has announced an update for their Windows Phone 8 app designed to improve reliability and stability.

The main change in version 2.5 of the client is to make Messenger notifications for Messenger buddies always-on by default.

Other fixed issues include:

StabilitySkype crashing on startup for some users who signed in with Microsoft Account
NotificationsMessage notifications sometimes had contact names separated with 20% instead of space.
CallingVideo call button was disabled straight after accepting incoming contact request
Video CallingFull screen local video preview was stretched sometimes
Video CallingIncoming 720p video on portrait mode was zoomed in

Known issues:

Audio on HTC 8XUsers on HTC 8X who have not updated their phone to latest firmware will experience muted microphone on audio callsUpdate your phone using the in device over the air update capability
