Skype click-to-call Android

Microsoft today announced that they are rolling out Call from mobile (Beta), a new feature that makes the Skype Click to Call desktop plug-in even more useful.

The new Call from mobile feature lets you send phone numbers from your computer browser straight to Skype on your mobile, so you can immediately call from your phone or save the number to call later. Skype Click to Call makes it easy to spot phone numbers by automatically highlighting them wherever they appear on your browser, and lets you call those numbers with one click through your Skype account.

How this feature could be useful on day-to-day basis?

Imagine you’re tracking a parcel on your computer and you need to call the delivery company. Simply find their number online, which Skype Click to Call will have highlighted for you, then select Call from mobile and the number will be sent to Skype on your mobile. Just pick up your mobile, swipe and start the call without ever having to type in any numbers.

Call from mobile is now available to Android users and we’ll be rolling it out to other operating systems in the future.
