Shopsavvy for Windows Phone 7 in video

Andrew, our reviews editor, managed to rustle up this quick video overview of the ShopSavvy app for Windows Phone 7 in video.

Interestingly in an email sent to all those who expressed early interest, the co-founder of ShopSavvy, Alexander Muse, complained Microsoft was holding out on the company by preventing it from using Live Scanning (ie scanning the bar code from the video stream rather than having to take a picture) and was reserving the technology for their own use for the Microsoft Tag app, but of course Tag users will know the app suffers from the same limitation of having to take a picture before the barcode can be read.

Alexander however promised to continue improving the app, which he calls a 1.0 app compared to the 4.0 version on Android and Windows Phone 7, so we hope to see any complains and limitations of the software (including the annoying localization ones) get ironed out in the near future.

Shopsavvy can be found in Marketplace here.
