In a recent interview with MCV, it was revealed that Sega had ended its publishing deal with Interior Night.

Interior Night is an independent game studio based in London, UK. The studio consists of veterans from Quantic Dream and Sony and has a heavy focus on and dedication to creating ‘innovative interactive stories for a broad and mature audience’.

Sega Europe’s head of content, Bobby Wertheim, told MCV that “Sega did announce a partnership with Interior Night. Interior Night is a really talented studio, headed up by Caroline Marchal who is amazing and really experienced, but Sega decided not to continue with that project.”

Wertheim also stressed that it wasn’t a personal thing and that, at the end of the day, not all projects “can come to fruition.”

MCV reached out to Interior Night for comment. CEO and creative director of the studio, Caroline Marchal, issued the following statement:

It’s been a pleasure to work with Sega and to have their support during the early days of the studio. Ultimately, we have amicably parted ways for strategic reasons. However, development on the game – an innovative narrative experience, aimed at a mature audience – is proceeding well. We will announce our new partnership in due course.
