SanDisk announces the world’s highest-capacity microSD card for use in mobile devices

SanDisk today announced its world’s highest-capacity microSD card for use in mobile devices. Back in 2015, SanDisk announced the record-breaking 200GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC card, with today’s announcement they are doubling the capacity to 400GB. To achieve such high capacity in small size, SanDisk used its proprietary memory technology and design and production processes that allow for more bits per die. The new 400GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card will allow consumers to store all their content locally on their mobile device without worrying about storage limitations.

This is a Class 10 microSD card with transfer speeds of up to 100MB/s and it meets the A1 App Performance Class specification for loading apps faster. The 400GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card comes with a ten-year limited warranty and will cost $249.99 in the US.

You can order this microSD card here from Amazon.
