Details of the device have been leaking over the last few months, and now for the first time a marketing render of the wearable has been revealed, showing the device in all its glory.
The render, via 91mobiles, shows the sports-orientated smartwatch would not feature Samsung’s much-loved rotating bezel, dropping this in favour of two simple buttons. The device appears to have a brushed metal finish and rubber-like band typical of sports watches.
The smartwatch is expected to retail for the first time as the Samsung Galaxy Sport, a change from previous Gear branding. The render does not show the sensor cluster at the back of the watch, but it is expected to feature the usual sleep monitor, step counter, activity tracker, heart rate monitor, and GPS and to be waterproof. It is also expected to feature Bixby Reminders, have 4GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth and also support mobile payments via NFC.
