Since the launch of the Galaxy Fold, Samsung has been running into problems with the device. This later forced the company to cancel the launch altogether and rework on the design and especially the screen.

Recently we reported that Samsung is almost done with the design and has made improvements to the display. While Samsung is yet to make an official statement, DJ Koh, CEO of Samsung accepted that the whole Galaxy Fold debacle was embarrassing for the company. The company has also been working on setting up a production unit in India for Galaxy Fold which could mean the device is ready.

Although Samsung has been quiet on the exact dates for the device, SamMobile (via BGR) published an image of the device being tested in the wild. According to them, the image shows the new and improved Galaxy Fold which is now being tested to simulate real-world conditions. The image was captured in New Delhi metro and it looks like a Samsung Employee who took the device out for testing.

We don’t expect the device to be shown at the Unpacked event next month but we hope to see the device hitting the markets in time for the holiday season.
