Last we heard the Samsung Taylor would not even receive an update to NoDo.

Now, just like the HTC HD2, the developer handset has been vaulted all the way to the latest version of Windows Phone Mango.

The method, developed by Rudi Grobler, uses a series of work arounds and fixes created by both Microsoft, the ChevronWP7 team and Windows Phone Hacker to achieve the feat.

First they upgrade the device to a Walshied NoDo using the ChevronWP7 tool.  Then they fix it using the ChevronWP7 fix, and lastly they use the Windows Phone 7 hacker tool to provision the device to receive the developer Mango update.  All in all not too much work to rescue a handset that would otherwise go to the back of the old gadget drawer.
