There appears to be more bad news for those hoping to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy Fold in the near future.

We have earlier heard reports that the beleaguered Samsung Galaxy Fold may have been pushed back to fall this year, ie. after August 2019, and that Samsung executives were targeting a July relaunch.

Now the Korea Herald reports from internal Samsung sources that these dates are rather far off the mark.

“If we are running such a media event this month, we should be doing something by now,” said a Samsung official. “Nothing has progressed since the April delay.”

The Herald reports that Samsung has just recently completed their investigation of devices damaged while being used by reviewers, and that Samsung executives were seen using the device in public, doing first-hand testing.

Samsung had earlier said that if they are unable to deliver the folding device by the 31st May they would cancel pre-orders.  Best Buy had already earlier cancelled all pre-orders and the recent cancellation of pre-orders by AT&T suggests that no immediate relief is in sight.

It is time to put this device to bed and start over? Let us know below.
