Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S10 early next year. The upcoming flagship could be the first device from Samsung with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
A new report published by ET News, confirms that Galaxy S10 will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Samsung is planning to use Qualcomm’s latest ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Samsung is also contacting Taiwanese companies, General Interface Solutions (GIS) and O-Film to produce the modules.
The new fingerprint readers can be attached to the back of the display and they take a 3D image of the fingertip’s ridges and pores to be captured, which makes it more accurate.
There is another rumour which says that Samsung might add the ultrasonic reader to only the top two Galaxy S10 variants which the base model will still come with an in-house reader.
