Samsung is currently working on new truly wireless earbuds that could officially be called Galaxy Buds Sound, according to a recent trademark application filed by the company(via SamMobile). However, the application doesn’t reveal any details about the product, leaving us in the dark about key details such as specs, launch date.

While the trademark application doesn’t specifically mention that these are the company’s upcoming truly wireless earbuds, the fact that the Buds brand is associated with Samsung’s wireless earbuds makes us believe that these are indeed going to succeed the Galaxy Buds Live.

It’s worth noting that the South Korean company also filed a trademark for the Bean, but as we all know, the Galaxy Beans are now officially called Galaxy Buds Live. The same could happen to the Galaxy Buds Sound as well, meaning Samsung might launch the earbuds under a different name. This is, of course, a possibility and not something that we’d like to vouch for.

While we don’t know the launch date of the upcoming earbuds, in all likelihood, Samsung will launch these earbuds alongside the upcoming Galaxy S21 series of smartphones. And if that turns out to be true, we’ll have to wait four to five months before the company makes the earbuds official. The good news is that you don’t have to wait till the launch date to know all the things about the Galaxy Buds Sound or whatever the company ends up calling it, as the trend of details about products surfacing online before their official launch is going to continue.
