Along with the new Galaxy Note9 smartphone, Samsung today revealed their new smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch. The main improvement Samsung has delivered in the device is its battery life. Samsung claims that the new Galaxy Watch will offer multi-day battery life. The Galaxy Watch comes in two different sizes: 46mm and 42mm. The Galaxy Watch 46mm will offer 80+ hours with typical usage and up to 168 hours with low usage while the Galaxy Watch 42mm will offer 45+ hours with typical usage and up to 120 hours with low usage. In addition to two different sizes, the Galaxy Watch will be available in Silver, Midnight Black and Rose Gold colors.
Samsung’s signature, circular rotating bezels, Always On Display, military-level durability with Corning Gorilla Glass DX+, LTE connectivity, GPS and 5 ATM water resistance are some other highlights about this new smartwatch.
Samsung has also improved software features in their new smartwatch. There is a new stress management tracker that tracks your heart rate, and provides breathing exercises to help you stay focused. The advanced sleep tracking monitors all levels of sleep, including REM cycles, to help you get the rest you need to take on your day.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Bluetooth 42mm version will be available for $329.99, and the 46mm version will be available for $349.99 in the US at Amazon, Best Buy and Samsung.com starting August 24, 2018. The Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE version will be available at AT&T, Samsung.com, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon, along with other retailers later in 2018.
You can pre-orders it on August 10, 2018 on Samsung.com. Also, if you preorder or order Galaxy Watch before September 8, 2018 on Samsung.com, you will receive a free Samsung watch band.
