Russian technology analyst Dmitry Ryabinin has spoken to Microsoft Russia, and as usual they tend to be more open with info than those located closer to Redmond.
He reports that officially supported Windows phone 7 handsets from LG, HTC and Samsung and most importantly Nokia will hit Russia in the fall, with multi-tasking and full localization.
Microsoft also told him other titbits, such as that the conversion rate from trail to paid applications were higher than for the iPhone, at around 30%.
He also noted that cheaper Windows Phone 7 handsets were coming but that this will not be due to the release of of a lower chassis, but simply due to components becoming cheaper. He notes that Windows Phone 7 handsets will be significantly cheaper than equivalent iPhones by almost half.
