Sony’s first-party video game The Last of Us 2 may have been delayed until next Spring.

According to sources close to Kotaku US, the upcoming survival horror title will be pushed back until Spring.

While the delay hasn’t been officially announced by Sony or developer Naughty Dog, the announcement is expected to be released this week.

The Last of Us 2’s release date was only revealed last month. With the release date originally aiming for a February 21st launch, this upcoming delay is a weird move. However, with other recent titles like Doom Eternal (which looks fantastic) seeing a recent delay, its not uncommon for AAA titles to be delayed.

As for the credibility of this leak, Kotaku’s Jason Schreier is a remarkably reliable journalist. With his book, Blood, Sweat and Pixels, Schreier has delved deep into behind the scenes going ons at Naughty Dog.
