NokiaPowerUser reports on a tip they have received which suggests Nokia will be delivering a smart watch in Q3 2014.
The device will be delivered separately from the handset division sold to Microsoft, and is consistent with recent rumours that the remnant Nokia will be pursuing the wearables market.
The development is said to be led by Axel Meyer, head of Emerging Devices and Peter Skillman and will feature elements of earlier Nokia prototypes and concepts, like Nokia Kinect, where users can control their device by twisting and bending it, and Nokia Morph, where a bendable device can take on a variety of functions by changing form factor.
Hopefully then devices will remain compatible with Windows Phone, though with Nokia as an independent company of course this can not be guaranteed.
See the Nokia Morph concept video after the break.
Thanks Nishy for the tip.
