Earlier this year, HP unveiled the Elite x3 at Mobile World Congress. Back then, the company only revealed the specs of the device, along with some videos — however, the company didn’t reveal the release date, or the price of the device just yet. Now, according to a report from Italian site Plaffo, the Elite x3 will be available in September for €699 (around £600 and $770). The release date and the price of the device were apparently revealed by HP employees at an event in Milan, Italy. Of course, the price and the release date of the device will vary depending your region — and, as HP is yet to officially announce the details, this info might not be real at all.
However, the release date seems pretty accurate as Microsoft is going to release Windows 10 Anniversary Update on August 2 and the Elite x3 will come with Anniversary Update. Therefore, the Elite x3’s release on Septemeber is plausible.
For the who don’t know, the Elite x3 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, a 5.96-inch WQHD AMOLED display, 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 16MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, a fingerprint scanner, an Iris scanner, and supports Continuum for phones. HP is marketing the device towards its business customers, meaning that it might be slightly hard for consumers to be able to get their hands-on the device. In fact, the company will be selling the HP Elite x3 with the Lap Dock which is basically a portable 12.5-inch display for Continuum for phones.
