WPCentral reports on rumours that the AT&T Nokia Lumia 830 will support both Qi and PMA charging in one device.
Qi is a very widely implemented standard in phones, and has heavy support form Nokia/Microsoft Mobile and carriers like Verizon.
At the same time PMA is backed by very popular destinations like Starbucks and McDonalds and also AT&T, meaning a Qi-based phone may be able to charge very well wirelessly at home, but not on the move.
According to WPC’s sources the Nokia Lumia 830 may have finally solved the problem by natively supporting both standards which is of course some kind of progress.
The Nokia Lumia 830 is expected to arrive in stores on the 7th November, like for around $99.
