Taiwanese site GantDaily reports that HTC may be working on a phablet-class Windows Phone.
While reporting on the HTC Eye, a 5.2 inch selfie-focussed smartphone with a 5 megapixel front facing camera, they also mention in passing:
Aside from the Eye device, HTC is also reported to be in the works for another Windows Phone device with a bigger screen real estate, probably of phablet category.
The news may have originated from new leakster Upleaks, but is not clearly sourced from there.
It may well be that HTC will in the future simply offer a Windows Phone version of their Android handsets, now that much of the work has been done with the HTC One M8 for Windows, though of course actually producing the device does not matter much if its not distributed widely.
