We are now in the early stage of a battle between Rudy Huyn and Snapchat, with Snapchat trying to ban 3rd party apps and Rudy trying to get around their protections.
If history is any indication there is no winners in such a battle, and the ones who end up suffering is the end users, in this case Windows Phone users.
Rudy has taken the early initiative by tweeting to Snapchat that they should talk, presumably about making an arrangement which will let 6Snap continue to work without its users being banned from Snapchat’s network.
Such a move would not be unprecedented, with the 3rd party Telegram app becoming the official app for example. We have also seen it go very wrong, where promised being made with no results in the end.
