Rovio confirms working on Angry Birds for Windows Phone 7

I know no-one wants to hear any more about Angry Birds on Windows Phone 7, but I guess if the software does eventually come to Windows phone 7 it will be one less thing critics can say the OS lacks.

Rovio’s “Mighty Eagle” Peter Vesterbacka, confirmed to Pocket-lint the software is on the way.

“We’re working on it,” he said, apparently blaming the hold-up on Microsoft. “Let’s just say, Microsoft has a lot of lawyers,"

Vesterbacka did not explain the statement, but it is likely negotiation with Microsoft to bring the title to Windows Phone 7 had been difficult, as had reported by other developers elsewhere.

Vesterbacka did not reveal a launch date for the software, but we suggest they hurry up, before Angry Bird become as much yesterday’s news as Furbies.
