Rogers drop Blackberry Z30, adds Nokia Lumia 1020

Nokia announced today that the Nokia Lumia 1020 and Nokia Lumia 625 will be coming to Canadian carriers soon.

Both the Nokia Lumia 1020 and 625 are available in Canada on October 3. The Nokia Lumia 1020 comes in black and yellow and is available at Rogers for $199.99 on contract  and the Nokia Lumia 625 is available exclusively at TELUS in black from free on contract.

"The Nokia Lumia 1020 is a giant leap forward in smartphone imaging technology, removing the complexity of photography while enhancing people’s creativity in the way they shoot, edit and share pictures," said Matt Rothschild, Vice President, Nokia North America. "The Nokia Lumia 625 is the perfect all-round smartphone, combining innovation traditionally found on high-end Lumias, with a suave design and affordable price tag."

Interestingly the announcement comes on the same day as Rogers confirmed they will not be carrying Blackberry’s new flagship, the 5 inch Blackberry Z30, indicating once again how far the Canadian smartphone OEM has fallen that it is losing carrier support even in its home country.
