Not only is Rocket League coming to the Xbox One, it is already available for pre-orders. Microsoft announced on Friday that users can now begin pre-ordering the game title directly from the Xbox Store.
Rocket League is priced at $19.99. A user can purchase it from the Xbox Store, Xbox SmartGlass apps, Xbox for Windows 10, or the Xbox One itself. However, pre-ordering it now won’t enable you to play the game at the moment. You will have to wait till February 17 for it. But, at least, you won’t have to spend hours downloading the game on the release date.
Those purchasing it will also get all the “Game of the Year Edition” content, previously-released DLC packs, “Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars,” and “Chaos Run” into a single package. In addition, you will also get two Xbox One exclusives – The Halo “HogSticker,” an alternate version of the Warthog, and the Gears of War “Armadillo”.
It wasn’t long ago when one would completely find the idea of Rocket League becoming available for Microsoft’s gaming platform rather doubtful. As you may recall, Psyonix, the maker of Rocket League has an agreement with Sony. But that has changed.
“Soccer meets driving once again in the award-winning, physics-based multiplayer-focused sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars!” the app description reads for those not familiar with Rocket League is. “Choose a variety of high-flying vehicles equipped with huge rocket boosters to score amazing aerial goals and pull off incredible, game-changing saves!”
