Resident Evil 2 won’t just be remaking old content according to a new announcement from Capcom.
Revealed during a recent Japanese celebration live stream, Capcom announced that there would be a few post-launch additions to the survival horror game.
Firstly, the game will be receiving an all-new mode called The Ghost Survivors. In essence, this mode is like a built-in randomizer. You’ll explore the game’s world and spend points on different items depending on how well you’re doing.

There will even be new characters to play as including the mayor’s daughter, Katherine, and previously unmentioned character Robert Kendo. Hopefully, we’ll get to play as even more characters from the original Resident Evil 2 – I want to play as Marvin!
Capcom also unveiled some nostalgic classic costumes for Leon and Claire. The costumes will be added for free on March 22nd.
