Resident Evil 2 is available to pre-order and pre-download on Xbox One

Prepare to return to Raccoon City next January by pre-ordering and pre-downloading Resident Evil 2 onto your Xbox One.

Resident Evil 2 is a complete remake that overhauls the classic survival horror using Resident Evil 7’s engine. Despite going for authenticity in most regards, one notable change is that there where now be an over-the-shoulder camera. No more fixed perspective. Don’t judge it too harshly before you play it though, because of its gameplay is anything to go by, Capcom is making sure not to sacrifice the atmosphere everyone fell in love with.

You can pre-order the Standard Edition from the Microsoft Store for $59.99, or shell out some extra cash and get the Deluxe Edition for $69.99, which includes the base game and extra DLC packs of weapons and cosmetics.

It is set to be Xbox One X enhanced, and according to comments from Capcom’s brand manager, it should support a graphics and a performance mode on Microsoft’s more powerful console, letting players choose which they prefer.

Resident Evil 2 launches on January 25, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
