If you’ve ever taken an academic course, you must have done some project or research work that required writing research paper. Citations are big part of research papers and it is very difficult to format the citations as there are many different standards with complicated rules about how to format entries. Microsoft Word comes with Citations & Bibliography tool helps students and researchers in writing their citations in different formats. Microsoft yesterday announced a new feature in Microsoft Academic that will make it even easier for people to insert citations in their research papers.

When someone searches for a research paper on Microsoft Academic website, they will be presented with relevant search results. From now on, there will be “Cite” link under each paper on the search results page, and on each paper detail page. When they click it, they can get citation using three popular citation styles which they can copy and paste into their research papers, or they can even download to BibTex and Microsoft Word for later use.
