Report: Windows 8 Blue Release In August, Will Include Performance And Power Efficiency Improvements

We all know from previous reports that Microsoft is working on a significant update for Windows 8 codenamed Blue that will be released this year. Now according to Win8china, Windows 8 Blue will be RTMd in June with preview available in coming months.

Windows Blue will include less UI changes and more under the hood improvements like low power consumption, better performance, better search integration, etc,.

Windows Blue has entered Milestone Preview development phase now.
UI hasn’t changed much.
will have a better performance, Kernel gets downsized again
lower power consumption
Scaling is improved for Metro Apps, will fit to the screensize. Better windowing
Preview will be available in coming months

RTM Build number should be 9600
