Winfuture.de reports that German O2 stores have confirmed that the Lumia 650 has now been listed in their catalogue, with availability set for either the end of January or early February 2016.
The handset will be available in two colour options – white with a silver band and black with a dark metallic band, and the device is set to be marketed as a high-end beginners device.
The handset will be available on a variety of price plans, including one of 39 euro deposit and 7.50 Euro monthly for 24 months, but also 219 Euro up front, which seems to be on the somewhat expensive side.
O2 Germany was not able to confirm the specs of the device, but the Lumia 650 is said to feature the following specs:
- Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 210 (or 212)
- 5-inch 720p display
- 2000 mAh battery
- 8 megapixel camera
- Front-facing speaker
- wireless charging
- 8 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front facing camera
Given the pricing and marketing it seems the handset will be 2016’s “affordable flagship.” Do our readers see it getting much traction? Let us know below.
