When Microsoft acquired Nokia’s Devices and Services division few months back, MixRadio was also part of the deal. Microsoft already revealed that they are exploring options to spin-out MixRadio service since they are already running a competing service Xbox Music. Even after months of discussion, Microsoft is still in discussions to find a potential buyer for MixRadio. Today, TechCrunch reported that Microsoft is seeking out investors for an independent Nokia MixRadio. According to their sources, potential spin-out is making “good progress” and could close soon if talks stay on their current course.
